Who We Are
Nalam Institute of Allied Health Science (NIAHS) is committed to providing quality education and practical training that prepare students for successful careers in the healthcare sector. Our Journey
Founded in 1993 as a non-governmental organization (NGO), Pioneer Trad Nalam has been committed to serving communities through education, healthcare, and social development initiatives.
In 2004, the organization expanded its mission by introducing paramedical training programs to equip students with practical healthcare skills and career opportunities.
Since 2007, the institute has been conducting General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) and B.Sc Nursing programs, helping aspiring healthcare professionals build successful careers through quality education and hands-on training.
Our Leadership Team
Dr. Mrs. Jasmine Lydia
Chief Functionary
Dr. Mrs. Jasmine Lydia began her career in social work in 1986 and has dedicated her life to community development, education, and healthcare initiatives. She holds an MSW from Stella Maris College, an M.Phil in Social Work from Loyola College, Chennai, and a Ph.D. from the University of Madras. She founded the nursing training institute in 2004 and continues to lead the organization’s mission of empowering individuals through quality education and social development.
Dr. Lamech Inbaraj
Academic Advisor
Dr. Lamech Inbaraj is a voluntary retired Assistant Professor of Political Science with extensive experience in academics, research, and student development. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to higher education and social awareness initiatives. As an Academic Advisor, he provides strategic guidance and support to the institution, helping strengthen its educational vision while encouraging academic excellence, leadership, and professional growth among students.
Dr. Abraham H. Lamech
Medical Director
Dr. Abraham H. Lamech, MBBS, is a dedicated clinician with expertise in family medicine, palliative care, and podiatric care. With over ten years of professional experience gained from CMC Vellore and other leading healthcare institutions, he brings valuable clinical knowledge to the organization. As Medical Director, he oversees healthcare training initiatives and supports the development of competent professionals committed to delivering quality patient care.
